Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park offers families an incredible chance to witness Earth's creative forces in action, from glowing lava flows to steaming volcanic craters. This Big Island wonder captivates kids with its otherworldly landscapes, where they can walk through ancient lava tubes and explore one of the world's most active volcanoes.

Best Season: Visit year-round, but spring and fall offer the most comfortable temperatures for families with fewer crowds and ideal hiking conditions.
